Hi, I'm Roberto! And this is my dog and official partner-in-crime, Riley Grace.

She's my saving grace—we saved each other, and every single day, she shows me what it means to stay PAWsitive and find joy in the smallest moments.

Welcome to Smiles Fur Miles, where our mission is all about people, paws, and purpose!

A Fairytale Built on Deep Love

Starting this animal care business was never just a regular career move for me—it was like breathing. It all started with my first dog, Lucy, a German Shepherd I rescued when I was 18. We had eleven-and-a-half incredible years together. When she got sick later in life, I went all in, marketing myself and building Smiles Fur Miles so I could be by her side every single day. She became my guardian angel, and she taught me that my true happiness comes from taking care of these animals.

People sometimes ask me if I ever get tired or annoyed running a pet care business entirely on my own. Never! Honestly, I get sad when I'm not around them. How could anyone get tired of this lineup? I can go down the list of my clients' dogs like the alphabet: Scout, Dunkin, Duke, Stella, Peanut, Pebbles, Pixie, January, June... every single one of them is my favorite story.

Sometimes I look around and feel like I'm living in a storybook fairytale. I'm the guy who goes to a party and spends the whole night hanging out with the family dog or watching the fish tank because animals just make me feel safe, happy, and included.

Going Above and Beyond (Rain or Shine!)

At Smiles Fur Miles, we believe every animal deserves a human who completely shows up for them. For me, that means doing whatever it takes. Whether I'm zipping across town on a scooter or jumping into an Uber to pick up your pups, I'm there. When those loud Texas thunderstorms hit and the dogs are terrified, you'll find me walking right through the rain to get to their houses, making sure they feel safe, cuddled, and loved.

This isn't just work to me—it's a gift. Because your pets give us so much joy, we believe in giving back, too. That is why a percentage of our proceeds every single month from our pet care, apparel, and homemade treat drops goes directly to supporting local animal shelters, LGBTQ+ organizations, and mental health awareness.
